Developing Pagebuilds started in 2003. The goal was to create a platform that could run and control all types of software and hardware. We believe everyone should be able to do what he or she wants without limitations, with a lot of autonomy, and speed. This is why we started building the framework: we just wanted to have the best tool.
In 2004 we named our framework Pagebuilds, because a lot of what people create online are pages. We wanted to give others the ability to create pages for themselves and share and manage information with others in an easy way, without the technical hassle. Pagebuilds is a platform where it doesn't matter what you would like to do. Pagebuilds lets you create your own online business and presence, just by using the Pagebuilds Framework and its solutions.
In 2009, we founded Pagebuilds the company. After years of developing - five major versions have been released already - and through building our own websites, we came to the point where we could host other businesses in our framework. As business informatics, we knew we had to develop over a long time before we could open our platform to the public. Good software should be tested and improved thoroughly before it is launched. Automation of processes is not something that is done in a few months. It takes a lot of analysis and improvements to reach the desired goal. That's why in 2009, after 6 years of building our framework, we were able to start sharing our solutions with others.
On May 1st, 2011 we released Pagebuilds 6, our latest and completely redesigned version of Pagebuilds Framework. The feedback we get from our partners and customers continues to have a huge influence in the development of Pagebuilds. We've redesigned our graphical user interface, implemented an easy-to-use and flexible template engine and we moved the API into the core. From now on, every module we build automatically has API capabilities.
Pagebuilds offers worldwide support. We provide our software globally, but strive to give our support as locally as possible. Our headoffice and self-owned hosting infrastructure sits in The Netherlands. For customers in the US, we are opening a local sales and support office.
